It’s Going to Be Okay

I won’t burden you with a long post today. After all, the world seems to be turned up to full volume, with everyone shouting differing opinions.

That’s why I’d like to offer a quiet but powerful message today: “It’s going to be alright.”

I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life. How do I know?

Start With the Best Ending

Starting with the very end in sight, Jesus said, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.” (Revelation 21:6-7)

Please read that slowly again. God is offering the best assurance that it’s going to be alright. Our inheritance is fixed.

Know What “Okay” Looks Like

This is what life will eventually look like:

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God, Himself, will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3-4)

  • God, Himself, will wipe away every tear.
  • There shall be no more death.
  • There shall be no more sorrow.
  • There shall be no more crying.
  • There shall be no more pain.
  • The former things will be gone.

It’s going to be okay.

Trust In the Finality of Righteousness

Last, but not least, “Salvation and glory and honor and power belong the Lord our God! For true and righteous are His judgments.” (Revelation 19:1-2)

Because God’s judgments are true, we can KNOW without a doubt that everything going on will come into full submission one day. No matter how dark and scary and awful things seem, God’s righteousness will stand!

Be encouraged today. These are the things we look forward to. And I don’t know about you, but I’m keeping my eyes looking forward day by day. It’s going to be alright.

So let’s turn down the volume on the world’s narrative and turn up the volume on how this story really ends.

Will you join me?
